I designed a van wrap for the science department at Columbia Public Schools to use for supply transport during field trips. CPS has implemented an innovative place-based science curriculum and wanted a design related to that style of teaching, which involves lots of hands-on learning and observations in nature.
To meet their prompt, I created a park scene with silhouettes of children learning from their environment, and on the horizon are familiar Columbia landmarks like City Hall, Jesse Auditorium, and the columns.
This was a very fun project for me! I loved working with such a large canvas as it allowed me to work in a level of detail and depth that aren't appropriate for smaller projects.
